8-Year-Old Albion Primary Student Shot, Released From Hospital

St. James, Jamaica (McKoy’s News)- 8-Year-Old Albion Primary Student Shot: our news team has been informed that the 8-year-old St. James student who was shot and seriously injured by gunmen over a week ago in Norwood, St. James has now been released from the hospital and is presently at home recuperating.

The police also related that the man who was taken into custody in connection with the shooting is presently still in police custody and is been interrogated.

The 8-year-old student was shot and seriously injured by gunmen who killed her  36-year-old father Sanjay Beckford of Providence Heights in Flankers and Sheldon Bailey 32 years old, a plumber of Paradise, Norwood.

Reports by the Montego Hills police are that shortly after 7:30 pm on Thursday, September 28th the 8-year-old was being taken to school by her father, upon reaching a section of the roadway in Norwood known as Hugar Lane, a motor vehicle drove up and four men armed with high powered weapons jumped out and started shooting at persons standing along the roadway.

During the shooting, the 8-year-old who attends the Albion Primary and Junior High School and her father were both shot.
