Latest Jamaica News, Trelawny (McKoy’s News): An AK-47 assault rifle and several rounds of ammunition, were seized during an operation which was carried out in Deeside, Trelawny, on Wednesday, March 11.
The police have indicated that there was no arrested in connection with the seizure.
Reports by the Falmouth police are that between the hours of 1:00 p.m., and 3:15 p.m., an operation was conducted in the area, when a premises was searched and the AK-47 assault rifle and forty-eight rounds of ammunition were found in a make shift tent, at the back of a premises.
The weapon was seized and an investigation launched to identify those behind the find.
