The Portland police say they are now making arrangements to lay criminal charges against a man who stabbed a 17-year-old, teenage to death, during a dispute over water at a standpipe in Portland, on Thursday, August 16th.
The deceased teenager has been identified as Miguel Osbourne of Orange Bay, District in Portland.
Reports by the police are that about 4:35 pm, on Thursday, Miguel went to a standpipe in his community to fetch water.
While at the pipe, he got involved in an argument with the accused man who brandished a knife.
The accused used the knife to inflict several stab wounds on the teenager’s upper body. The police were summoned and upon arrival, the wounded boy was transported to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Following the incident, the police carried out an investigation which led to the arrest of the suspect.
