Jamaica News, Montego Bay: Several people were rushed to the Cornwall Regional Hospital in Montego Bay on Tuesday night, September 18, after being in a two-vehicle collision just outside the Mount Alvernia Preparatory School along Queens Drive in Montego Bay.

Both vehicles were badly damaged due to the impact of the collision and police personnel were promptly on the scene to regulate the flow of traffic.

One lady was seriously injured with a broken hand, she was quickly taken to the hospital by one of the two ambulances which arrived on the scene.

Both drivers of the ill-fated vehicles blamed each other for the incident.

It is believed that speeding and improper overtaking was what caused the accident.

The Montego Bay police are investigating.
