Jamaica Crime News, Manchester: Within days of a female being murdered in the parish of Manchester, the police were again summoned to another crime scene in the parish on Thursday morning, August 30, where another female was brutally murdered.
The latest victim has been identified as, Winifred Elliot, 66-year-old farmer of New Forest District in Alligator Pond, Manchester.
Reports by the police are that shortly after 7:00 a.m. on Thursday, residents living in New Forest district went to Elliot’s home and stumbled upon the body.
The elderly female farmer was found lying inside her home in a pool of blood and the residents summoned the police.
On arrival of the lawmen, Ms Elliot was discovered lying inside a room of the house, with multiple stab wounds to her upper body.
The scene was processed and the body later transported to hospital where Elliot was pronounced dead.
The female farmer is the second woman to be brutally murdered in the parish within the week.
Just a few days ago, an unidentified female was discovered with her throat slashed, her body wrapped in a sheet and placed in an igloo, in the rear seat of a car.
The Mandeville police are now investigating.
