5 Persons Shot on Burke Road, Spanish Town

Spanish Town, Jamaica (McKoy’s News) – 5 Persons Shot on Burke Road: At approximately 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 13, 2017, residents reportedly heard gunshots on Burke Road in the vicinity of the bus park arcade and called the police. On arrival, the police learnt that five persons were shot and rushed to the hospital. When the officers went to the hospital, they were told that five persons had turned up at the institution and was taken to the emergency area.

One of the five persons succumbed to his injuries, another was in serious condition, but along with the other three, was admitted and being treated at the hospital.

The persons shot were identified as 24-yr-old Quain Faulkner of 1E Oxford Road, Spanish Town, who succumbed to his injuries; 23-yr-old Clifton Cameron, student of Jamaica Foundation for Lifelong Learning (JFLL) and resided at Lot 34 Corlettes Road, Spanish Town; 55-yr-old Winonia Wright, food vendor of 30 Cashew Way, Charlemont Housing Scheme, Linstead; 51-yr-old Sharon Dacres of 32 Love Lane, Gordon Pen and 21-yr-old Kevol Miller, who is in serious condition, of Prince Pen, Kitson Town, all of the parish of St Catherine.

Crime officers from the Spanish Town CIB are currently conducting investigations into this incident.
