A total of five persons have been shot and killed across Western Jamaica within a five days period.
Investigators say three of the victims were killed in St James, while the remaining two were murdered in the parish of Westmoreland, and these killings have drawn a major concern now that the State of Public Emergency was just recently lifted in the parish of St James.
Those killed have been identified has Celah Tomlinson of New Market Oval in Westmoreland, 65-year-old, Williams Hinds, a Attorney at law from a Greenside address in Trelawny, another man identifiedonly as ” Kartel ” , of Salt Spring, in St. James, 31-year-old, Aldane Clarke otherwise called ” Warrior ” of Auldey district in Bluefields, Westmoreland and 26-year-old, Sanjay Evans otherwise called ” Shoppy ” of St John district in St James.
Tomlinson was shot and killed on Tuesday, February 5, while he was sitting inside his motor car along a section of Savannah-la-mar,in Westmoreland while the decomposed body of lawyer Hinds , who went missing from his home in Falmouth, on January 6th, was discovered in a sink hole, on a farm property in Orange Valley, Goodwill, St James on Saturday, of the weekend.
Police say the man known only as ” Kartel ” was shot and killed, and another man shot and injured, when a group of armed police impersonators invaded a house in Salt Spring , on Saturday morning February 5, about 1:30a.m..
Clarke who is the fourth victim, was shot and killed in the presence of his common law wife, at their home in Westmoreland about 10:30p.m., on Friday, while Evans the fifth victim , was shot and killed by unknown assailants along a section of the Johns Hall main road about 8:30p.m..
