Jamaica Crime News, Kingston: Five persons were taken into custody by the Constant Spring police, after they were caught in possession of an illegal firearm and several rounds of ammunition, on Saturday morning, March 30.
The identities of the five accused are being withheld pending further investigations.
Reports by the Constant Spring police are that about 1:30 a.m. on Saturday, a team of officers were on patrol at a section of the area known as Donmair Common when they saw all five persons traveling on board a motor vehicle.
They signaled the driver to stop and he complied. During a search of the vehicle, the lawmen discovered a Taurus 9mm semi-automatic pistol, along with two magazines, and over twenty-one live 9mm rounds.
