Jamaica Crime News, St James: Five men, three of whom the police say were being sought in connection with a number of shootings committed in and around Cambridge and Spring Mount Police Divisions, were taken into custody during an operation carried out at the Hotel Gloriana Resort, located along Sunset Boulevard in Montego Bay, St James on Friday morning, September 28.
Reports by the police are that about 5:45 a.m., the police acted upon information received and went to the Hotel Gloriana, and carried out an operation.
During the operation, a search was carried out of several rooms, which led to the arrest of the five men who was being sought by the police.
The investigators pointed out that, one of the men was being sought in connection with a shooting incident which occurred in Spring Mount, St James last week.
The other men are being sought for various crimes committed around the Cambridge area.
Two 9 mm semi-automatic pistol, loaded with several rounds of ammunition were also seized in one of the rooms which were occupied by the men.
The investigation is now ongoing.
