40 Persons Murdered in St James since the Start of the Year

Jamaica Crime News, St James: Since the start of the year, a total of 40 persons have been murdered throughout the parish of St James.
The police in the parish have now indicated that they are still very concern with this high figure in murders since more security personnel have been deployed throughout the parish.
Our news team also learnt that of the 40 persons killed, over 28 of these victims lost their lives within the State of Public Emergency period since February to May of this year.
The Barrett Town, Granville and Barnett Street police still continue to account for a large number of these murders and the joint military forces have now stepped up patrols throughout a number of these communities within the inner city area of Montego Bay.
