4 Illegal Firearms, Leeds Sheets and over 34 Rounds of Ammunition Seized in Hanover

Jamaica Crime News, Hanover: The Hanover police on Sunday morning, May 27, seized four illegal firearms, several Leeds sheets used in the illegal lottery scamming and over 34 rounds of ammunition, during an operation carried out at a premises in Chester Castle.

No one has been arrested so far in connection with this major find.

The Ramble Police have reported that shortly after 6:00 a.m. on Sunday, residents living at a section of the Chester Castle community known as Land Top made a report that a barrage of gunshots were being fired in the area.

The police travelled to the community and later carried out a joint military operation at a premises.

During the operation, the illegal firearms, a 9mm semi-automatic pistol with make not known and containing 7 live 9mm rounds, a Smith and Wesson pistol loaded with seven  . 45 rounds, a Springfield HS 2000 semi-automatic pistol containing six 9 mm rounds and a  Glock 40 pistol loaded with a magazine containing five  .40 rounds were found.

The lawmen also seized several other rounds of ammunition, three masks, a cap with the markings “POLICE” and over 120 Leeds sheets used in lottery scams.
