Jamaica Crime News, St Elizabeth: The Narcotics police seized compressed ganja weighing approximately 2600 pounds, during an operation carried out at Billy Bay in Treasure Beach, St. Elizabeth on Saturday morning, April 13.

No one was arrested in connection with the seizure.

Reports by the police are that, shortly after 11:00 a.m., on Saturday, a joint operation by the Narcotics police, and St. Elizabeth police, carried out an operation at Billy Bay, in Treasure Beach.

During the operation, the lawmen seized several parcels containing compressed ganja weighing 2600 pounds.

It is believed, the ganja which is estimated with a street value of over $13-million, was being prepared for export.
