Jamaica Crime News, Kingston: Four persons are now in police custody following the seizure of 53 pounds of cocaine at the Norman Manley International Airport in Kingston, on Tuesday morning, February 12.
The police have not yet released the names of the four accused.
Reports by the Narcotics police are that about 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, customs officers were carrying out a screening check of a shipment of ground provisions, when they discovered irregularities.
A detailed check of the provisions revealed 53 pounds of cocaine among the goods.
The four accused with whom the shipment was linked were all taken into custody.
