231 PEOPLE KILLED IN ST JAMES SINCE THE START OF THE YEAR

St. James, Jamaica (McKoy’s News)- 231 PEOPLE KILLED IN ST JAMES SINCE THE START OF THE YEAR: Since the start of the year 2017 a total of 231 people have been brutally slain in the parish of St. James. So far most of these killings have been proven to be gang related and have taken place in the Barnett Street and Montego Hills policing areas.

The area One police have deployed additional security around the second city but still the murder count continues to rise.

Over the past three days two men have been shot and killed by gunmen in close proximity to the Barnett Street police station and several days  prior to those killing the Montego Hills policing area recorded a double murder and three single killings.

Residents and Business operators around the second city of Montego Bay are now calling on the Superintendent of Police for St. James and the Assistant Commissioner of Police to come up with a effective strategy to ensure more safety of our streets.
