Jamaica News: Trinbago Knight Riders outplayed St Lucia Stars in the curtain-raiser of the  2018 Caribbean Premier League in Port of Spain Trinidad on Wednesday night.

Batting first the hosts piled up 195 for 6 off their allotted 20 overs.

Colin Munro 68 including 9 fours and a six and Denesh Ramdin’s 50 not out laced with 2 fours and 4 sixes, led the charge for Trinbago.

The Jamaica music fraternity was plunged into mourning after the passing of “Carrot” formerly of world renowned group Third World.

Kieron Pollard and Kesrick Williams took two wickets each.

All six Trinbago bowlers then combined to skittle St Lucia Stars out for 95 and with it gave their team a 100 run victory.

Dwayne Bravo and Fawad Ahmed were the top wicket-takers with 3 wickets apiece.
