At least two persons are confirmed dead, and nine others seriously injured, following their involvements in a motor vehicle accident which took place along Dyke Road, in Portmore, St Catherine, on Monday, August 5.
The names of those killed, have not yet been released by the police.
Reports are that shortly after 8:00 a.m., on Monday, the driver of a Toyota Wish motor car was transporting persons along Dyke Road, when he allegedly lost control of the vehicle and slammed into a Subaru Impreza motor car, which was in the process of turning from the major roadway, unto a minor road.
The impact of the crash resulted in all passengers of both vehicles, and the drivers receiving serious injuries.
The driver of the Toyota Wish motor car and a passenger allegedly died at the hospital, while nine other persons were admitted to hospital in serious but stable condition.
