18-year-old Murder Suspect Remanded into Custody

St James, Jamaica (McKoy’s News)18-year-old Murder Suspect Remanded: An 18-yr-old male who appeared in the St James Parish Court on Wednesday, December 6, 2017, to answer to charges of murdering his teenaged girlfriend, was remanded into custody. Shamar Flowers of Mcloud Road in Cambridge, St James is facing the court on one count of murder of 17-yr-old Roxan Davis also of Mcloud Road in Cambridge.

Reports by the Cambridge police are that shortly after 10:30 a.m. on Monday, November 20, 2017, residents living at Mcloud Lane alerted the police after hearing gunshots being fired at a section of the community. The lawmen rushed to the scene and on arrival they stumbled on the body of the teenaged victim which was lying along a section of the roadway in a pool of blood with multiple gunshot wounds.

Investigators say it is believed that Flowers was involved in a common law relationship with the deceased which went sour. He is booked to reappear in Court next Thursday, December 14, 2017.
