16 Year-old Killed by Boyfriend

The Santa Cruz police in the parish of St Elizabeth say they are now seeking the public assistance to identify and apprehended a  man behind the stabbing death of a 16 year old,  teenage girl in Santa Cruz , St Elizabeth , on Tuesday night,  August 14th.
The teenager has been identified as  Vernadine Anderson  , 16 year old,  of Corn Peace district in Hayes Clarendon.
Reports by the  Santa Cruz are that Vernadine  was spending time at a friend home  in Big Yard,  Santa Cruz.
Further reports are that approximately 9:00pmon Tuesday, she went to the outside of the house and her friend overheard her screaming for help.
The friend ran to the outside of the house and saw the teenage girl lying on the ground, and a man standing over her with a knife in his hand.
The armed man chased after her but she ran and managed to escape.
The friend raised an alarm and the police were summoned to the location.  Upon arrival Vernadine was discovered lying outside the house in a pool of blood,  with multiple stab wounds to her upper body.
She was rushed to hospital where she was pronounced dead.
The lawmen saw it is still unclear as to what transpired and as to how the female met her death.
