11-year-old Girl Gave Birth to her 14-year-old Brother’s Baby

The father of a baby born to an 11-year-old girl in a hospital in Murcia on Friday is reportedly her 14-year-old brother.

The Spain police are investigating the circumstances behind the birth of a child born to the 11-year-old mother.

On Friday, the girl gave birth to a baby boy at a hospital in Murcia.

According to authorities, the birth is the result of a sexual relationship between the girl and her 14-year-old brother.

Police are awaiting the result of a DNA test to confirm the parentage and have opened a case to determine whether the relationship between the siblings was consenting or if the girl was abused by her brother who was just 13 years old at the time of conception. If it was consensual, no charges will be filed.

The girl, whose identity has not been made public, gave birth to a healthy baby boy on Friday after she was rushed to Murcia’s La Arrixaca hospital with “stomach cramps”.

The parents of the girl called an ambulance believing that their daughter was suffering from a serious intestinal problem because of the intense pain she was suffering.

But on arrival at the emergency department of La Arrixaca hospital on Friday medics quickly realised that the girl was in the later stages of labour and was about to give birth.

Hospital sources said the baby arrived before there was time to transfer her to a delivery room, but that both mother and newborn were ‘doing well’.

Neither the girl, or her parents who are originally from Bolivia, claim to have been aware of the pregnancy, according to a report by Cadena Ser.

Spain raised the age of consent from 13 to 16 in 2013 but an exception is made if sex is consensual when the boy is of similar age or stage of development and maturity.

  • It does not have to be a one room dwelling that provocate the sexual indulgence. Social media could be an influence with exrated movies easily uploaded from the internet. These children of the 20th century have a very experimenting mind, they want to try out the sexual act and if it is enjoyable they are going to continue.
It’s very sad that at 11 yrs old, being a child she is giving birth…My God check the age of her brother. They are still pre- teens and shouldn’t even be thinking about adult business. My question is, how observing is the parents? They they didn’t even aware of the pregnancy so much more of a sibling relationship in the home. All we can do is pray for our nation at large.

  • I guess u could say it’s the norm in Spain bcuz they just raised the age of consent to 16yrs from 13yrs. Imagine my 13yrs daughter having bcuz she feel like it

  • It’s not the “norm” in spain, regardless of when they raised the consenting age,it’s not the norm for 14 year old boys to be having sex with their younger sisters,….that’s an unusual case, don’t use it to taint a whole country,
