Young Mother and 11-Month-Old Baby Shot in St James

St James, Jamaica (McKoy’s News) – Young Mother and 11-Month-Old Baby Shot: A 21-yr-old mother and her 11-month-old baby were shot and seriously injured by a group of gunmen at Blood Lane in Glendevon, St James on Thursday (November 23, 2017) evening.

Reports by the Montego Hills police are that shortly after 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, the female and her child were both heading from Downtown Montego Bay in a taxi motor car. On reaching the vicinity of her gate at Blood Lane in Glendevon she alighted from the taxi and immediately a motor car drove up. Several men who were travelling in the vehicle brandished handguns and opened fire on the baby mother and the child hitting them both.

The gunmen then sped away and the wounded mother and her child were both rushed to the Cornwall Regional Hospital where they were both treated and admitted.
