Over 10 Persons Murdered in St James Since The Start of December

St James, Jamaica (McKoy’s News) – Over 10 Persons Murdered in St James Since The Start of December: Over ten persons have been murdered throughout the parish of St James since the start of this month. According to the police since Friday, December 1 to Friday, December 8, 2017, one woman and nine men have been reported murdered in separate shooting incidents.

Reports are that more than a dozen persons including two females have been shot and seriously injured. Sunday recorded four murders and since the killings, the police said they have increased patrols and security presence throughout the parish. Investigators also mentioned that they are now getting more manpower from the Jamaica Defence Force and are carrying out constant patrols in areas which were relatively quiet but have a recent flare-up in murders such as Canterbury, Albion, Glendevon, Barnett Lane, Pitfour and Retirement.

Since the start of the year, a total of 314 persons have been murdered throughout the parish of St James.
