Double Fatal Shooting near Kingston Wharf of 2 Unidentified Men

Kingston, Jamaica (McN) – Police are reporting that a gunfire battle between gunmen and police along the Kingston Wharf Toll Road on Friday, February 3 have left two men dead, and the recovery of one firearm.

Officials of the Independent Commission of Investigations (INDECOM) state that the reported incident from police, is that four Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) officers attached to the Area 4 Division were on a special enquiries patrol in the Corporate Area and St. Catherine. They received information of a white AD wagon with men travelling with guns, heading to Portmore.

INDECOM reports that a vehicle, fitting the description in which the alleged men were travelling, was signaled to stop by the officers. Reports are that gunfire was exchanged between the men and members of the JCF.

Two men escaped and two were found suffering from gunshot wounds and pronounced dead at the Kingston Public Hospital. One shotgun was recovered at the scene.
